Analisis Yuridis terhadap Suntik Mati (Eutanasia) Ditinjau dalam Perspektif Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia di Indonesia

Abstract

Every human being goes through a cycle of life that starts from the process of conception, birth, and life in the world, which ultimately ends in death. Euthanasia can be interpreted as "a good death" or a quiet and peaceful death. This term comes from the Greek, namely 'eu' which means beautiful, good, or honorable, and 'thanatos' which means death. In imi's research, the author formulates a problem formulation of how the concept of lethal injection (Eusthanasia) is based on a human rights perspective in Indonesia and how lethal injection (Eusthanasia) is viewed based on positive law in Indonesia. In this research, the research method that the author uses is normative juridical by looking for library sources from literature studies. The aim of this research is to find out how the concept of lethal injection (Eusthanasia) is based on the perspective of human rights and positive law in Indonesia. Judging from current Indonesian law, there are no special laws or articles that explicitly and completely regulate Eusthanasia. Based on positive law, medical ethics, religious beliefs and cultural values in Indonesia, it is confirmed that euthanasia is not justified in Indonesia.
